Please can any one help, we have Jack Russell Terrier bitch puppy she is now 15 weeks old she is adorable and very intellegent, we take her to puppy class and she learns well, but we have a problem, she absolutely loves people we have made sure and socialized her with humans as well as other dogs, whe trains very well with us in the garden and her recall is brilliant.
when we take her out she is brilliant to walk on the lead in quiet areas, but where there are people she just loses it and wants everyone to speak to her I try getting her attention but it is impossible, she just wants other peoples attention, my puppy trainer has told me to stand outside supermarket and let her talk to people everyday for 5 days, she is not sure this will work but she wants to give it a try, what does anyone think to this and have you any other advice that I /we can do?

My dog was simular as a pup- I personally think the advice from your trainer about sitting outside a supermarket is spot on. That's what I did with my dog. I used to sit outside tescos or B&Q and click and treat him for calm behaviour and getting used to people not always coming up to us and fussing him.

Also have you got any friends who could act as dummies and practice walking past you on a pretend walk?
