Cocker Spaniel Dribbling Problem - Help!!

just bought a new cocker today, he is 5 yrs old and fully trained but seems to be cocking his leg and dribbling all the time..... is this natural ??? is he just nervous??

No he hasnt been neutered... we have a bitch in the house too.... hopefully he will stop soon!

we had trouble house training our cocker dog,in the end we gave up as he was bought as a worker so we kenneled him outside.My vet said spaniels are the hardest to house train and the dirtiest! he even pooed in his crate when he was indoors.

He might be marking. Anyhow it is best to deliver to him that this is unwanted.
Keep disturbing him and taking him outside when he does that.
When he pees outside praise him a lot and reinforce the behavior.

I would avoid from using any method of surprise (like loud noises). or any kind of punishment.

Instead use A LOT of reinforcement to wanted behaviors and interrupt the unwanted.
