Play fighting?

This has probably been asked before, but my two dogs, 3 year old Jack Russell and 6 month old Staffie cross, 'play fight' on occassions. We have had the JR since a pup and got the staffie around Christmas time.

What i want to know is, is this a good or bad thing? they do not seem to hurt each other and there tails are wagging in the process, if one of them goes too far, the other will let the other one know.

Here is an example of what i mean, so about it being abit dark, but you get the idea:

What you think?

Thanks

Re: Play fighting?

it is a good thing for it to play, if your older dog gets annoyed it will tell the young one off. Play fighting is more like testing out the other dog, its a natural thing and wouldn't worry about it too much. If it starts getting out of hand drop your keys on the floor and it should stop them

Re: Play fighting?

Most dogs will do this, its nothing to worry about, with them biting eachs others necks just make sure they're not breaking the skin and that no sores develop. Its just the way dogs play!
