Re: Pulling on lead - tried nearly everything!!!

the canny collar arrived today. Because I am still a bit wary of my back hubby took Cassie out with it on-he was not impressed!!! She hated it and tugged and tugged and tugged. He came back after 10 mins-told me it was a waste of money and went out again with her old lead. Tried to explain it took patience but he wouldnt listen. Later on he realised he did not fit the collar right!!!!!!!!!!!My daughter and I are going to try it next so here's hoping.

Re: Pulling on lead - tried nearly everything!!!

went out yesterday with the canny collar on. Cassie hated it for the first few mins and even managed to get the straps that go behind the head and attach to the lead over her nose!!!!But when she realised it was there and not coming off what a difference. She walked lovely to the field. We used the ordinary collar for her walk back because I still want to train her to walk properly. Tried it again today and used it to walk to the field which worked great and then normal collar for walk back. She was brilliant for walk back - kept to my side and looking up at me for treats. At the moment - great buy. Grandad is coming today so will get him to try it too.

Re: Pulling on lead - tried nearly everything!!!

Hi, I haven't actually used one with Alfie but I do know someone with a Beagle who uses a canny collar and they think it's brilliant. They said it has completely stopped him pulling and helps him to stop sniffing so much as his head isn't always to the ground.

Hope you find something which helps soon, we're finally coming out the other side with Alf, he still has his moments but life is definitely getting easier!

H x
