Re: growling

My sisters Lab puppy does this when he's playing, and my dog used to do it sometimes when he was having his 'mad half hour' - I'm not sure what it is to be honest, could be just trying to get your attention in wanting to play with him!
If you don't want him doing it tell him a firm no... or turn your back on him and ignore him? He'll soon get bored I expect.

Re: growling

My boy bares his teeth when playing, he can look quite vicious. You wouldn't believe it looking at my avatar.
He doesn't often growl, but that isn't really a Goldie thing.
As long as it is only ever in play, then I wouldn't be too worried

Re: growling

Just out of curiosity, what is his diet?

You would be amazed how a high protein diet can cause hyperactivity
