We have just got a 19 month old female German Shepherd from a local rescue centre - had her now for over two weeks. She has been in the centre for approx 4 months but previous to this lived with a family. Unfortunately the owners went out to work full time and eventually put her in the rescue centre.
I am looking for advice as to what to for the best as when we take her out fora walk and she sees any other dogs she barks like mad at them and pulls towards them.
Hollie does not walk great on a lead and we will have to train her to do this as well - she tends to pull and like to be ahead of you but if you stop dead she will turn round and come back to you or if you say nothing and turn in another direction she will follow you. The main trouble is everything else goes out of her head when she sees other dogs.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
