Re: Clicker training
i dont have any links im afraid. does your clicker set not have a guide in it? a lot of them do.
i started training my dog with a clicker, its a really simple method to use. but you have to be really really persistent with it and make sure you use it all the time. i only used it to get him used to his commands though. i dont use it at all now. though if he doesnt come back when called, a quick click makes him rush back haha. |

Re: Clicker training
Clicker training is often misunderstood, so I would really recommend you go along to training classes so you actually understand fully how to use it.
Clicker Training There's lots of info here, but one piece of advice is to make sure you take your time 'charging' the clicker. It will pay dividends and is something that is often rushed. |

Re: Clicker training
Clicker training has alot of useful information in it, most of the trick is in the timing
this can be quite difficult to get sometimes so seeing a trainer is most useful imo, they can show you exactly when to click and treat etc, also show you how to "shape" behaviours using the clicker and impecable timing.I saw a lovely lady in my area for training and buster thrived on it He is very stubborn and much more likely to do something if he thinks it was his idea lol, much like the OH ![]() edit: as said above, conditioning your dog to the click = good is very important, so the dog knows exactly what it means and isnt just to grab the dogs attention.
