Our Charlie Pup's New Eating Habit!

Strange one this. At Charlie's dinner time ( currently eating solid food ), he is now getting a mouthful of food, brings it into the living room where we are sitting watching the tv, drops it all onto the floor, then eats each bit one at a time off the floor. Then he goes back into the kitchen and repeats this all over again! Our previous Border Collie Jasper used to do this too when he was a younger age.

Just wondering why he does this?

Awwwh what a cutie!
Maybe he just likes to be in the same room as you?
Puppies at that age just like to be around human company so he might feel insecure eating by himself.

You could try moving his food to the room you are in, or staying with him to eat to encourage him to eat from his dish til he gets a bit older.

Re: Our Charlie Pup's New Eating Habit!

Thanks all!
It's quite a nice feeling to think that he might be doing it just to be close to us. Hey, I'm his Dad! lol, and his best mate.
He's eating a raw carrot at the moment while I'm typing this! I can hear his munching. Saves him chewing me!

Not sure why, but that picture reminds me of a kid that just started high school but got a uniform 3 sizes too big!

Really cute!

Gulp! You are referring to his big paws arn't you? It has been mentioned on many occasions. Most people telling us that it means he's going to be a big beastie!
