Yard and housetraining question...

We're planning on having our puppy use one 'corner' of the yard to do her business. It's kind of cordened off and I'll know I'll have to be super consistent if it's going to work. My question is, I'll be taking her out on a lead and to this specific area, but after she's been, can I let her have some free time in the yard? Or is she likely to pee/poo somewhere else? Once she's 100% housetrained to this area, will that make a difference? I want her to be able to be outside, but know to go to her corner if she wants to eliminate... am I asking too much do you think?

Re: Yard and housetraining question...

i have found my 2 girls have a fav spot each. i clean up the garden at the end of every day. so they have their fav spot to go in. Candys is in front of the shed and misty is by the swing leg.

I have found as long as i clean up everyday they only tend to usethis spots anyway. if like when i went into hospital my hubby couldn't get to do it with running around after kids and visiting me they did go ELSE where. if you try tomaje it he fav spot to go and keep it clean then there is no reason she wont go there. if it gets to full in there she will use other places.

Millie has her favourite place too, we pick it up every day and she always goes back to it.
