Frustrating night phantom pooing!

I'm so sick of coming down in the morning to a poo and a big load of wee which is making little streams in the grout in my kitchen tiles!

Poppy is now a year old and has been 100% toilet trained since 3 month old. then Lady came along and we got her toilet trained slower than Poppy but we got there, Lady is now 5 months and was dry at night for weeks then a weeks or so ago it started. at fkirst I thought it was Lady lapsing back into her puppy ways but the poos are too big to be hers so it must be Poppy!

If it is Poppy what can I do, I've gone back to basics with both of them where toilet training is concerned but nothing is changing!

Why is Poppy going backwards, I thought if she was going to do this she would have done it before Lady was toilet trained.
They get on so well, they play, fight, sleep, eat and poo together and lately Lady has been challenging Poppy's 'authority' but I considered this to be normal, healthy behaviour!

What do I do?????

Re: Frustrating night phantom pooing!

Not sure why she has started doing this. So only have 2 ideas, hae you tried getting up to let her out in the night or have you ever used a crate for them, could you crate them overnight as dogs don't like to toilet in their beds.
Good luck - hope you get it sorted soon.

Re: Frustrating night phantom pooing!

hi, nothing worse than dealing with a poo first thing in the morning Like fluer said I would try the crates or at least seperate them to make sure you know which one it is. Look at their feeding times and maybe start feeding them slightly earlier or making her go out and wait till she poos before you go to bed. Has anything changed lately in the routine like food or getting up later/ going to bed earlier. like you said though it might just be a case of back to basics. Let us know how you get on
