Re: anti-bark spray collars

Looking at getting one of these for my dog, he has this terrible habit of screaming and yelping when we take him out, he'll do it from the house to the park, which is only a minute or so's walk, but it's extremely embarassing, and the only thing I can describe the noise is as if he's had boiling water poured over him! People must think we're beating the silly sod up in the street!

Hopefully it'll be effective, although he tends to ignore things after a little while. We've already tried the water squirting method, and it didn't do much good, so i'm a little bit apprehensive about paying out for the spray collar, because they're not cheap.

Success rates seem to vary with these, so I suppose it depends on the personality of the individual dog really

Re: anti-bark spray collars

i have the same problem - i posted a link about it
the collar is no good for us....i have started to try redirecting her attention.
I keep treats in my pocket and if there are people around i tell her to sit and get her to look at me and give her a treat...i know a trainer that did this and he said that eventually they will just sit and look at you for their treat when there is something to bark at.
Maybe too some more exercise would tire her out? that is also what we are trying right now...small dogs are hard sometimes.
let me know what works
thanks
