Puppy classes

I want to take Sasha to some training classes. She is 8 months old so I know a bit old for them but due to a car accident just after I got her I wasn't able to take her. She knows all the basics of sit, down etc as I used what I had learnt with my other dog the year before. She is socialised with other dogs. Walks pretty much to heel once the first couple of minutes are out of the way or when we get to dam were she knows she can go off in front on her flexi lead. She just doesn't seem to have got the recall idea. If she's out in garden and you shout her she will come in but if she manages to escape out of gate which she has done a couple of times she just bolts and won't come back .
Can anyone recommend a good class in the chapeltown south Yorkshire area. Don't want to use the same 1 I used for steel as I didn't like her methods and didn't complete the course.

Re: Puppy classes

Hi

I'm not sure how much help I will be but as no-one else has replied.....

Firstly my dog was a year old when I rescued her and we didn't start training classes until about three months after that, although I understand it is better to start younger we didn't have this choice but she is doing really well.

Secondly the only way I found my training class was by going on google and typing in 'dog training in Lincolnshire'. I then scrolled through and one class caught my eye, went and had a look and the rest is history

Sorry I can't help specifically with your area in Sheffield. See what you can find in your area and go and have a look before booking classes
