Recall

I know there are a lot of threads about recall. And ultimately Donnie has none we are working on with with 1-2-1 training. But I'm looking for books etc... to help along the way I remember reading "Control Unleashed" might be good however it seems expensive and hard to get hold of, so I'm just wondering if you guys have more suggestions that I can look at? To assist along side the 1-2-1 training.

Re: Recall

There is a booklet called "really reliable recall" by Leslie Nelson which is very inexpensive. It is very simply and clearly written and if you follow it to the letter it WILL improve the recall remarkably well. There is also a DVD of the same title but tbh if you buy the booklet you won't need the DVD too. I really strongly recommend it for any dog with a poor recall.

Re: Recall

Control unleashed is a fab book and IMO worth the initial outlay
They sell it here Control Unleashed: Creating a Focused and Confident Dog - Training Lines
I have recently bought myself about 5 'doggy' books including control unleashed, the culture clash and don't shoot the dog, but I haven't read them all yet, but from what I have read of CU I am very impressed and it concentrates on getting a more focussed dog off lead so it's the one I'm concentrating on first ha ha

Just read the article - great! Super helpful and the videos give good examples. I’ve done similar using techniques from “Control Unleashed”. Definitely works.
