staffy's

Hi, my husband is getting a staffy cross puppy soon to add to our pack I have never had this type of dog before and was just curious on what they are like to train. Do they have any particular tendencies? I have heard they are quite stubborn and dare I say it( not my opinion I was told this) a bit stupid lol. I have mainly trained gun dogs so I am hoping they should follow the same principles. He is crossed with a lab so who knows what he will be like, a stubborn wiggly tail wagger probably lol. Any info (warning lol) would be greatly appreciated.

We have a staffy(Bruno) mix and he is the most gorgeous loving sweet natured dog i have ever known, he is my Grandson dog lol. My daughter had to give him up a couple of weeks ago, cos her land lord said he had to go.

Re: staffy's

we have a staffy and he is lovely and very very clever. We trained him with treats etc - he is very food orientated.

A clicker can be very good aswell.

Ahh bruno looks lovely, it is such a shame your daughter had to give him up. I really hope he will be food orientated as you are right that does make life quite a bit easier, I was just a bit worried what I had let myself in for

Re: staffy's

Hi well we have had Archie the staff cross for over a month now. He is a lovely pup very strong willed, so we are being strong with him. He does love his cuddles and the other dogs seem to have accepted him now(fingers crossed). I wonder how big is going to get he is 12 weeks in this pic.
