recall

Hi

I just wanted to offer a tip about recall which to be fair I stumbled across.

I wanted to find some games that Margo and I could play and we discovered that playing hide and seek is our favourite.
I give her something to be distracted by go hide(yes i have hidden in her crate before ) then call her name ...Margo come..she LOVES IT. when she finds me I make really excited noises and she sooo pleased shes found me shes licking and rolling over and she gets a big cuddle. Its so funny as when shes is looking for me she goes really slow like shes sneaking up on me.

Anyway what ive found is that it has helped well helped is an understatement its basically given me the key to recall.

Margo is 14 weeks and when we go off road she can now go off the lead and comes whenever i call her.
Its made something I was thinking was going to be really tough just flow.

Just thought it may help someone else

Lisa

Re: recall

ha ha Im laughing at I think is what may be called a bit of naivety.
Hopefully I have got a pup who is amazing but ..Im realising after reading through lots of other posts that she hasnt hit being a teeneage yet and as someone said..at the moment im centre of her world!!

So heres fingers crossed that it continues...although to be fair we do go for walks where other dogs are and she still comes back when i call...but maybe im talking oh so soon
