Help getting my dog to sleep I his kennel

We have just got a 9 month old shar pei pup. He won't sleep I his kennel we have bought him outside. We also have another 6 year old shar pei and he sleeps in another kennel outside perfectly fine (6yr old has a dust allergy). When we put them both outside at night, the pup just whines. We have put treats his kennel, food and his blanket and pillow to entice him in, but it just won't work. Can anybody help in this!!!! Thanks

Re: Help getting my dog to sleep I his kennel

in my opinion he is a bit young to be left alone outside at night....

would your other dog allow him to kennel share?
dogs are social animals, like ourselves, and, especially at his age, he might need to companionship of his housemate at night to be able to settle.
