Re: Prey drive

Like other people said, you can't stop it........

You CAN channel prey drive (in certain dogs) to a toy. So, the toy is more rewarding than anything else. Again, depends on the dog.

If food/toys don't work - the only thing that is left is pressure/compulsion/corrections.

All he was doing was licking there face.

Re: Prey drive

this is the problem dog

He really stares at them, same with any small animals really, although sheep are worse. He doesnt pull to get to them or anything he just wont take his eyes off them.

Food is a good ideal as he does love his food and will do ANYTHING for food. I would love To be able to let him off lead for a run but im worried there will be something that i dont see and he will get himself into trouble.

His brother doesnt have a problem with sheep......

I have taken him in fields off lead with sheep and all hes interested in is me. He has 100% of his attention on me.

Just cant seem to get it with the other one. I understand that there different breeds and thats why. Heres some more pics
