I have almost reached my wits end with my 12 month old yorkie bitch called Lilly. I love her so much but i need help desperately with training. I have a 12 year old too which she torments and is making quite depressed. She wees every time she meets someone in excitement, mouths too. lots of issues with her but she is sooooo cute and cant give up. I just need some help.

Re: over excited 12 month old yorkie
Has she had any training in the past? What is she fed on? How much exercise does she get and how often?
At 12 months old she is well into adolescence (think Kevin the teenager x 10) so she will be getting more confident in herself and pushing the boundaries. Food plays an enormous part in behaviour, much more so people realise, if she is getting too much of an inappropriate food then she could just have more energy than she can cope with and it has to come out somewhere. Over excitement and 'naughtiness' is often a case of poor quality food with too many sugars and additives, just as it is with children.
