Re: Best trick?

I taught my dog to work a pedal bin. I throw several tennis balls around the garden, then on the command of "tidy" she picks one up, whacks her paw on the pedal, drops a ball in and goes for the next one.
Not really a trick, but I also taught her to go in her crate and pull the door closed behind her.

Re: Best trick?

My all time favourite is 'Do you love me?' where he will launch himself at my face and give me a lick on the cheek (or supposed to be anyway, he always seems to turn it into a full on ear snog )

Second is 'jump' where he jumps into my arms. Like this mostly because of the usefullness.

Atm, teaching what will be 'do you want a bath' where he will shake his head, like he is saying no. Love this trick already, even though we're still fairly in the foundations of teaching it.

Re: Best trick?

Nothing that interesting. My black dog knows how to close doors on command, and I've taught her the difference between her left and right paw - I mix the routine up a bit, so e.g. R paw, R paw, L paw R paw etc. For some reason this gets her mega excited...
ever expanding likes this.

Re: Best trick?

Kiva's best trick is totally ignoring what I ask her to do and do the opposite instead. She is absolutely amazing at it!

Re: Best trick?

My favourite with one of my dogs was "Wave" because she looked particularly cute and happy doing it.

Re: Best trick?

some tricks you could teach, roll over, lay flat- can then be turned into bang, dog falls over flat. stick em up. Cross paws. weaving through your legs, twirl. jumping through your arms made into hoop.
