Advice please - Nose up bottoms!!

Has anyone got any advice for me please?
I've got a dog boarding with us, an entire Westie. We've got two neutered bitches and an entire male foster dog which he is separated from. Buster is a lovely boy but if he could he would walk around the house with his nose up one of their bottoms!! He's totally ruled by his hormones and just tries to lick their bits all the time. So far I've spent his entire stay saying 'Buster, no', 'Buster leave' and 'ah ah' to him. I don't want his entire stay to be filled with these words.
Separation isn't an option really, for a start he whinges, whines and barks if put in the kitchen (and scratches the door) and also his family are paying for him to live with us as one of the family.
He's only here till Friday but he is particularly keen on our very nervous collie, she does tell him off but he just ignores her and of course everytime we tell him no or leave or ah ah she thinks we're talking to her!!

Many thanks
Melxx

Hi.

Afraid your gOing to have to live with it. The dog is only following his instincts.

If he were your dog I'd be advising neutering.

Good luck x

What about keeping your dogs separate? Are they okay on their own?

You don't want him annoying your nervous collie for days on end, there could be an accident!

If he doesn't understand 'No', 'Leave' or 'Ah-ah' to mean Stop whatever you are doing or Move your nose away from the object your nearest to or similar, then you are fighting a losing battle and might as well be saying "Sniff her, sniff her!"

But honestly, I'd still try to separate them. Or do some focus exercises with him, e.g. the Look At That game, or similar, to relax him.

Re: Advice please - Nose up bottoms!!

Thanks guys.
He does understand those things but just his hormones are over-riding. I know he's just following instincts just wondered if anyone knew something I didn't!
And yes, he defo needs neutering, I do think the family are planning to do it so will be recommending myself anyway!!

Cheers....
xx
