trish74 is on a distinguished road
confined to one room, when to allow into other rooms?

I have been keeping alfie in kitchen as it is close to back door for toilet, we are still taking him out every 45 mins, after sleeps and play, he still has accidents and never goes to door when he needs to go? I am just hoping one day it will click.

Should I still keep him in one room until this happens? It is just now if he escapes kitchen if door not closed in time he goes mad running round hall and living room, I dont want him trained then going backways when he gets out of kitchen.

Any help/advice?

I'm not sure how old your pup is but yes I think you need to get him used to the whole house as the longer you leave it the more 'amazing' it will be and the worse his behaviour will be in the house.

You could try getting a light house line and attaching it to your puppy and to yourself so your pup can't go too far away and so he's always right by you if you see signs of needing to go to the toilet.
