Question New puppy, older puppy

We have now got a little girl Bramble as "best friend" for our Archie. Shes 9 weeks old and he is nearly 1. Some tips/advice please!

We've separated them at night with a baby gate but she cries. When would you trust them together all night -Archie has always stayed in kitchen and never cried! As soon as we are up she likes to get into his bed - is this a good idea? He doesn't seem to mind!

Only worry is when playing Archie gets bit over excited although Bramble gives as good as she gets. So we're scared they might get hurt if left alone together overnight without us keeping an eye on them.

Got lots more questions, but that will do for now!!!

hi there i no when i got macey max was already 7months old although they are brother and sister from different litters. we put them together pretty much straight away as we didnt want to encourage any negative behaviour that they may get.. yr little one will give as good as she gets in regards to play fighting so try them together for an hr or so before you go bed in the kitchen alone, they may play fight alot at first but they will soon get a routine which with two pups helps alot. hope that helps. they need to interact constantly and he chaces are if theyr good in the day they will be at night jen

Thanks for reply. Thats reassuring, they do enjoy play fighting and Archie already goes searching for her if he can't see her. Bramble follows him around.

Its just when he starts jumping and rolling around, I'm worried he might squash her! Do you think it best to leave them to it, pick her up or distract Archie?
