Wink Re: Need help for a scared puppy please

A dog might be nervous since he’s kinda new to the environment. It actually does a lot of pressure on him because dogs are somehow territorial animals. If his new to the environment, it’ll take some time for him to be comfortable with the new place. Being able to walk the dog within the place might relax him a bit..

Re: Need help for a scared puppy please

Haha soz I forgot about posting pics (naughty me )

Saxon has been better today ive picked him up a couple times with no yelping (yay!)

I think it's better if I get him use to stuff in the garden then he seems to be more okay with it inside the house.

He learned fetch today and didn't freak out when I threw the ball. He's a very fast learner!

When I first got him he didn't know how to play at all or even what a toy was I think he spent his whole life in a stable meant for a pony with his mother poor babe.

I'm getting him use to noises outside aswell like the sound of stamping but then reassuring him after every noise and he got use to it so quickly! He's no longer freaked out by loud foot steps. Every day is something new for him but he doesn't seem to be struggling to cope as much as he was and I think he finally understands my husband isn't like the man we got him off. (Took hubby hours of cuddles on the sofa and food treats and gentle stroking)

We still have a long way to go yet, but it's amazing to see progress so early on. Still open to suggestions and also maybe stories/tactics other people in the same situation have used to get past this type of situation.

Anyways what you have been waiting for :P
