Re: Dalmatian problem please help

Hi Nina

We both agree that it would be best to see owners and dogs stay together. I was just saying that I don't agree that it is helpful to look at it from a traditional dominance point of view and explaining where I get my reasoning from.

I totally agree that things are different for different dogs and owners.

Just my view, no offense was intended from the message.

There is only one thing two behaviourists will agree on that is that the third one is wrong, or is that dog trainers.

Jenny you are so right, hence my last and most important point, that what works for one dog, will not necessarily work for another. All dogs are individual, and trainers and behaviourists, each have their own method of dealing with a problem. This does not mean that one is right and one is wrong, it is whatever works for your dog. We can only advise.

Re: Dalmatian problem please help

Reading the story of the lead up to the fight, sounds like your friends dog got your dogs natural edrenalin going and from there it could be any thing from the wrong look to the smell of your chicken that could of triggered the fight, hope you work it all out.
