Question Training Treats Cheese

Hi tonight I went to look at a puppy training class that I was thinking of taking my puppy too.

They have told me to take with me pieces of cheese and hot dog sausage.

My question is are they OK with cheese as I have heard they can't have cows milk is cheese different.

Thanks

Re: Training Treats Cheese

hi kaz, mine adore cheese, they are there as soon as i take it out of the fridge. i think for training having something with a strongish smell may help your pup focus on you, and you only give small bits, however im no expert in training lol so i could be way off. i assume as long as they don't eat alot in one go they should be ok

Re: Training Treats Cheese

I use the hot dog sausages also - mine too love cheese - but it is very fattening to dogs I believe

But having said that I like to use treats whilst training that I can hold in my mouth.
regards
sue
