LOL, or maybe the wine I have had is already affecting me!

I'm also a 'black or white' type so was a bit wary of paying for a course such as this but so many pople on here had good things to say about it as well as the instructors.

Am so pleased that you got alot of out it, it must have been a really interesting day, glad it went well

Thank you, it was interesting even to a scientific person like myself. I figured that at the very least it couldn't do any harm and so much makes sense - particularly the balance aspect of it all. Some of the touches seem to not have much science behind them, but when your dog visibly calms as you do them (and can only get much better with practice I hope) then it is immaterial.

The workshop was £50 with only three of us there so very intensive tuition from a very approachable lady.

I thought it was great - mystical in terms of no 'hard science' which I usually like but the groundwork ideas made plenty of sense and when I did some of the touches Kilo did visibly relax. If nothing else, it does teach you to take note of all the small signals that your dog is sending to you and can improve the bond between you.
It was suggested that it might help Joshua's arthritis, which is why I was interested. I don't need him to relax as he is practically unconscious most of the time anyway!

The lady that took the workshop did say that it was beneficial for dogs with arthritis and cited a few cases - maybe get in touch with the practitioner closest to you off the TTouch website and ask?

Kilo has been practically unconscious since we got home...it was a long day off behaving very well for a puppy brain .

Re: TTouch Workshop

We have been practicing the walking in balance today; it is amazing really. Kilo has been LLW on a collar really nicely for a while now but still with the odd lunge / pull ahead to get at something really exciting. The balanced walking with a harness keeps him in the right place with minimum effort and you actually get lots of feedback through the lead from your dog.

Sure you all know about this already..but I do really like the concept.
