Re: Dog Aggrestion Problem; Need Help Asap

This all sounds so easy but im afraid its not, My dogs are perfect indoors garden ect, but outside they turn into some sort of terrors both same age had one to one training and still i cant get control out of doors after 15mths, thats with training every day they pull like horses and one does not like other dogs and goes haywire on being near to one, so its not so easy as it reads , well not in my case, there is more to this but im to tired tonight to write it

Re: Dog Aggression Problem; Need Help Asap

As with all aggression problems, I would seek professional advice, especially when a dog has bitten. Attempting to address this problem yourself, may do more harm than good.

I would strongly suggest that you speak with your vet, who will refer you to their chosen dog behaviourist. If he is insured, you should only need to pay the access fee.

Good luck and please give him a chance. The only other option would be euthanasia, and his aggression may even be a medical problem.

Re: Dog Aggrestion Problem; Need Help Asap

Jan Fennell would be a good start the DVD is so easy to understand and can be watched over and over if you think your not getting something right . Its a posative way without being agressive to train your dog by understanding how it percieves our world and the simple rules the whole family can join in with without needing to have been on a course to understand its training methods .
Some people poo poo diferent ways of dealing with dogs but safe to say if your looking for an easy and if done right quite quick method then this is it . Its not a cure all but will arm you with how to deal with his fear agression and how to relieve him of his anxiouse life style .
