2 jack russels who just won't take garden for a answer

Hi all I was wondering if you could help me I have 3 dogs 2 jack russels 1 male (castrated) 1 female ( not neutered ) both are 3 end of this year, and one king Charles cavalier who was 7 in January , of a day they are all as good as gold of a evening we take the king Charles up to bed with us and shut the child gate behind us , because he winds up the other two by following them all the time , of a evening the jack russels are left downstairs with water , they are fed at lunchtime with the guideline amount and are let out last approximate 11pm when we come downstairs we find loooooads of poo and pee we have tried puppy pads but they do it on the pad and everywhere else during the day as good as gold it's at night is a problem if we go out for a few hour and return as good as gold it's only at night they are silent and not interested at coming in the bedroom and do not wine at all , so what are we doing wrong or what could we do and would could be causing this and why do they act like it
Thanks

SA perhaps?

Perhaps you could try taking them for a walk about 10.30pm on a lead outside and walk them until they have a poo?

I take you let them out in the garden at 11pm, how do you know they are emptying both cannons?

I agree with welshdoglover - if you're not with them when you put them outside for the last time before bed, you can't be sure they relieve themselves. Being with them to praise them when they 'toilet' outside reinforces that this is what you want them to do!

I take my dog out about 10.30pm ish every night and we don't come back until he does both a poo and wee. First thing in the morning he goes straight out for a walk and he'll do his business outside. We've only had him 5 weeks and since following this we've had no accidents during the night and he'll hold it in until he goes for his morning walk.

Have they always done this, or is it something new? The only thing I can suggest, is maybe set an alarm once or twice and pop them out in the night for a few days to a week, and see if that makes any difference. If its still happening after that, then its likely to be behavioural. In which case you can try the classic things that sometimes help with anxiety, especially Separation anxiety. Leaving a radio down low on a talking station, Leaving a jumper or tee-shirt you have worn in their beds with you smell on it, as that has been known to help. Also DAP diffusers that work like a plug in airfreshner are used
for stress, anxiety and toileting problems associated with behavioural problems. You need to plug it in and keep it going. Its an artificial version of the pheromone mum emits to calm and soothe pups. DAP is Dog appeasing pheromone. Each refil lasts about 4 weeks. They come complete, then you just buy refills. You can get them from vets and pets at home, but usually cheaper on line. Vet-Medic - the same medicines as your vet at consistently low prices. is one place but check others for best prices. I still use them on mine for times of stress and fireworks. Its not for just helping pups but adult dogs too.

Hope this might give you some ideas to try, no guarantees of course, but things that have been known to help, with these sorts of problems.
