The quality is definitely there, best made dog products I have ever bought, I have this lead, a leather collar and a treat bag from the same manufacturer and they are all top notch gear.
The lead does have two clips, one slightly larger than the other, and three rings along it's length, configured just like a normal training lead except the centre ring is bigger than the others so that the smaller clip can be threaded through it, this way you don't have a big loop of lead hanging around to get caught on things and it seems to stop it from twisting around itself. It looks like a braided rope but is some sort of polymer, very strong and very easy to grip, even when wet. All the metalwork is polished chrome and the joints are covered with very good quality leather.
If you really want to push the boat out they also do an elk leather version for £55! Looks beautiful but I am just not a fan of leather leads and am also very poor.
