Re: Playing or not?

Ways you can tell they are play: One is submissive, willingly, later the other one is willingly submissive. When the first round stopped, the little dog just looked up at his friend, head up, looking straight at him. He never ran off when he had the chance. No one got hurt either. They seem like really good mates

Re: Playing or not?
I'm no expert but it looks like quite gentle play to me. My Senior Dog and Junior Dog have even more difference in size than your two and their play looks much rougher. SD's dirty trick is squashing JD while JD's dirty trick is grabbing SD's chest hairs (she is a very hairy girl). Also, JD's head is often in SD's mouth and I was wondering if this was ok too.
We're keeping a close eye because JD who has only been with us a few weeks is fairly assertive and there are some power struggles starting to emerge. I'd love to see them play more gently like yours and thanks for the video as it helps me too. |

Not sure the person slapping the dog round the head, albeit playfully, is the best way to play with a large breed. Just my opinion....

I suggest you try this: come up in front of your OH and start gently slapping him round the face and mouth - see how long it is before he gets very annoyed. He is teasing the dog, and annoying the dog, which is not only dangerous, it is cruel. Sorry to sound harsh and I know how difficult it is, but it needs to be said.

Re: Playing or not?
I dont know about the slaping the face thing my last dog loved it
![]() But if you want to stop your dog from jumping up people i know of a few good ways one is to blow a dog whistle and then firmly say no down! or you call the dog and give a small treat until it stops or try the yellow pages for a dog trainer ________ LIVE SEX Last edited by Blitzgreen; 19-08-2011 at 05:12 AM.. |

Re: Playing or not?
I've been turning around with my back to him and ignoring him. If I say "ah" when he's about to jump he stops. He's getting alot better at not jumping up, he caught this trait from Lollie as he's never done it before she came and she does it all the time.
I might try the slapping thing what about punches? Or is that taking it too far?
