Great training site

Levels.html

Mostly for clicker trained dogs but not necessary I don't think. Takes you through obedience commands and other things step by step. Going to be working through it with Buster I've seen other people get great results from it

Re: Great training site

Ruf and I did levels 1-3 last summer as a bit of a holiday project!
Level 1: http://pawsitivedawgs.wordpress.com/...vels-training/
Level 2: http://pawsitivedawgs.wordpress.com/2010/12/04/level2/
Level 3: http://pawsitivedawgs.wordpress.com/2010/12/05/level-3/
Absolutely brilliant!

There is a new version of levels reworked so it is more pet-centric rather than competition oriented too.

Re: Great training site

The pet orientated ones
StepsToSuccess.

Thought it would be a good idea to go back to basics and make sure he was trained before I brought the new puppy in

Re: Great training site

Tripod when doing levels, did you subtract the food from the meal you would usually give your pup? I think thats what you're supposed to do, just want to clarify?
Also, with regards to training, is better if one person is the sole trainer, or should myself and my partner take turns? Would this confuse the dog? TIA!

Re: Great training site

You can subtract the food so use his dinner as the rewards if it's high value enough or give him less dinner and some treats. It would be better if both of you trained him
