Benstanley is on a distinguished road
Our pup goes mad if we leave the room and she cant get to us

We have had her 3 nights now and she cannot be left alone. The only time we get piece and quiet is if we put her bed in our room. Even if she knows we are only a few feet away. I.E if we put her in the kitchen with the stairgate in the way and we sit in the front room.

Also we have a massive travel cot thats ment for 5-6 year olds. If we put her in this she also goes mental. It has mesh sides so she can see that we are mere inches away but she yels and whines and barks.

Any help on this is welcomed as we are very tired lol!

Re: Our pup goes mad if we leave the room and she cant get to us

Hi Ben..
It is very early days and may take a while for her to settle, With Jack we left him in the kitchen 5 mins then went back, left him again went back ect ect Just so he knew if we left we were coming back.. i think the fact she can see you may make it worse as she just wants to be with you.
Its early for me so i hope someone can give you more advice that makes more sense
Welcome

Re: Our pup goes mad if we leave the room and she cant get to us

Both my pups have been exactly the same and it is something which improves with time as the pup becomes more self assured. Badger is exactly the same at the mo but is starting to get better although if he's not whining at the door he's up to no good. I don't acknowledge his whinning and don't make a fuss of him when I go back into a room.
