Re: Help with new puppy's owner.
You could put peepads down or newspaper to start with then slowly move it towards the door.
Better still, take him out at regular intervals, like as soon as he wakes from a sleep, after playing, after food and water. You will be in and out like a yoyo, but it will work. Also give lot of praise and a treat when he goes where you want him to. Most of all be patient and consistent. Good luck and please post a pic too. haha!!

Take him/her out as soon as it wakes, after play, after meals, and frequently during the day. I crate trained both mine but I have very small dogs who are notorious for being a pain to housebreak but I managed it in about 2 weeks. I can't really advise on this breed though as they're bigger than mine they should be able yo hold their bladder for a couple of hours I would think consistency is key though learn your dogs signals |

Re: Help with new puppy's owner.
Hi Sparkle,
I sayed "while the daily walk" cause yesterday I taked her to walk three times and she did not pee or poo, only when we back home. Understand? She stays inside home all the time but I want she make pee and poo in the backyard and while the walks, not on the carpet or sofa I also keep the backyard's door open. There where plants, trees, sand and other places where she can make her needs. I just want to know how can I educate she to don't make thats needs inside home. I'm sorry for not thoroughly express the situation. Hi The3DChis, Her belly is the most cute thing in the world. I wast hours playing with her smooth belly. Anyone can tell me at what age does she'll be able to stand her ears up? Waiting for aswers. Sorry my bad english. SmylleAndré. Last edited by SmylleAndre; 25-01-2011 at 03:44 PM.. |

Re: Help with new puppy's owner.
Try taking er out yourself she doesn't know yet that outside is where she is meant to go if she has been in the house make sure you remove all traces of urine and feaces from the house..
Physically put her out every hour to encourange her to go and praise her when she goes!! Going on a walk is a different thing my oldest will go on a walk ecause se scent marks my youngest is really well trained so thinks you only go in the garden so will only go there so I just let her out in the garden straight after a walk. She's only a baby so give her time she won't learn over night to go outside Regarding ears like I said I don't know anything about the breed but I assume it's the same for all breeds and they can take a few months to stand and will go floppy when they teeth some up some down not all dogs ears stand up it just makes them quirky when they dont |

Re: Help with new puppy's owner.
hi andre
i found the best thing for our puppy was to take her out every hour sometimes she never pee but when she did we gave her lots of praise the pee pads do work aswell or newspaper but we found she just wanted too chew it rather than pee on it ! ![]() it takes alot of hard work and patients and it goes on forever you have to teach them everything like having kids really so make sure your in it for the long haul it really is worth it unless like me we have had our dog 9 years and now have 2 kids that are allergic to her so have to rehouse her ![]() good luck with everything |

Re: Help with new puppy's owner.
Hi Sparkle,
Thanks for help. I'll pratice yours and The3DChis' advices and be patient till she learn where she can or can't make poor and pee. About the ears, I've reading some things about the breed and I guess all of them stad up they ears but I can't find informations about the age it stands up. Hi jojo123, In the family have one kid that playes with the dog, my niece, and she's not allergic (thank god). Thanks for aswer, I'll pratice your advice. Sorry my bad english. SmylleAndré.
