Looking for a good behaviourist in London

Hi everyone,

I wrote not so long ago about my 4.5 month GSD pup in a previous thread. The link is here for any one who wants to refer back to it.

Nearly five months and still biting me and hard! :-(

To recap briefly, my pup has a problem with biting and biting hard myself and my mum. With me it is not so bad but with my mum he really goes for her. Today he went a bit too far. He was sat chomping on his bone and as soon as my mum walked into the room he dropped it and went straight for her leg. He would not let go and was quite aggressive. I manage to get him away and mum before any real damage was done (she had some very minor scratches on her leg). No tactics seems to work and as he is a big breed, I'm obviously concerned. He does attend training classes has been to two so far) but I think it is time to get a proper behaviourist in. My mum doesn't work and so is often at home with him alone and God forbid anything should happen when we are not there.

Could anyone recommend a good behaviourist in London please?

Kind Regards and thanks in advance

Has puppy been to puppy class when younger?

There are two reputable sources for behaviourists, but take note that it is still buyer beware :
APBC - will require veterinary referral: The APBC | Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors
CAPBT: CAPBT - COAPE Association of Pet Behaviourists and Trainers

Thanks for your speedy response. I have heard of those two organisations and visited their pages. They're quite a few to choose from but as you said you still have to be wary, which is why if anyone on here has used a behaviourist before and found them to be good if they could pass their details on to me. I don't want to be be messed around or have my time wasted. My pup is getting big and big quick!

Pretty sure Winkie Spiers is in London?
I not long ago went to a seminar by her and she was brilliant.
