Hunting dog training
My curiosity is peaked to full bore right now. I am brand new to PR/ clicker training, and ALL my previous training was done almost to a T the Wolters style( game dog and water dog) were like bibles to me. I have had two great hunting dogs that I trained and one German Shepard who is a detector dog now in IL, all based off of that style. Bo, who is my yellow lab now was a rescue dog, he did not take well to that so I adopted clicker training with the help of this website and many others and he is doing wonderfully. My question is has anyone here trained a hunting dog using all PR? I can see using it for OB but when it comes to quartering a field I just cannot wrap my head around how I would do that.
