Yuckkkkk-please help me

Please could someone help me with my 2 lovely but DISCUSTING doggies.

They can't seem to resist the presents left in the litter tray

I have 2 cats and 1 of them recently was hit by a car, he has now been allowed out of his cage (he was on cage rest), he used to have his litter tray in there and the other cat had one on the worktop in the utility room.

But now because my boy is off cage rest there no where to put his litter tray I can't put it up high as he isn't allowed to jump he had a broken pelvis and its still healing.

I keep them in the bathroom and try my hardest to clear it up before they get to it but its like they sense its there.
I really don't know what to do I love my dogs but this habit is awful especialy cleaning up recycled cat poop

Re: Yuckkkkk-please help me

Kitty crunchies seem to be a top treat for them

Can you put a baby gate across the bathroom? Then the kitties can squeez through, but dogs cant? Not sure if this would be an option if your injured one would try and jump it.

Just a thought. Hope Kitty makes a full recovery

Hmm how big are your dogs? Just wondering if you could fit a small dog flap big enough for buster collar and cat, but not your dogs. Or tying the door shut wide enough for cats but not the dogs??

Re: Yuckkkkk-please help me

Although not very pleasant this is very common - my two both love a bit of cat poo if they get a chance

There was a thread a few weeks ago (link below) for dog proof litter boxes - these may be something to consider

Dog Proof Litter Trays?

Re: Yuckkkkk-please help me

Is there a way you can tie the door shut? Shouldn't be too tricky to let kit and collar through but not the poop snaffling staffies

Re: Yuckkkkk-please help me

How about one of these dog gates with a cat flap in it?

Would his collar fit through the flap?

Bettacare Pet Gate plus Cat Flap: Amazon.co.uk: Baby

Noticed them the other week when looking for tall stair gates
