I have been taking him for walks but he still doesnt go outside. I also have a 11 week pup that I got at same time so desperately need to sort this out.

If he is very nervous and at 14mths old not house trained then it is a possiblilty that he has been punished for toilet accidents. Rough handling, shouting etc when toilet training can make them nervous about going in front of you and makes them tend to do it in secret or try too. If you also have an 11 week pup which you got at the same time (which I assume wont be toilet trained either)
the toilet accidents of the pup might be encouraging him and vice versa.
It has only been 3 days and with unknown history plus at 14mths he looks liked he has never been trained successfully it will take some undoing. (was it you who posted about the breeder buying him from a family for stud and for the last couple of months he was kennelled?) If so two months stuck in a kennel having to do it where he was wouldnt have helped. Thats why he probably Pooed in the crate or wouldnt have helped. The idea of the crate is that they wont soil their bedding or immediate surrounding area and theory, but when training they still have to go our regularly.
Is it possible that you can let him off lead on his toilet trips if he is anxious about going in front of people, then mabe more freedom and being allowed to sniff about and wander will help. I would continue to take both out every 30/45 minutes. When either starts to go give it a name (Eventually they associate the name with going and you can use it as a toilet cue and sometimes you can even get them to toilet on demand) When finished make sure you praise and lots of treats. Any accidents clean up with a special cleaner as any smell can make them more likely to go in the same place. Watch out for sniffing circling and maybe even scratching at the floor as often signs they are looking for somewhere to go. You could also try maybe setting an alarm and taking them out once or twice in the night.
It is early days, 3 days they are probably not a ease yet and its all new, I would just say be consistant and carry on for now. Hope this helps.
Oh just a thought is his toilets completely normal and formed. If there not or get progressively loose then he may have a bug. Also if you are the lady who posted the other day, then I would make sure the two of them are wormed properly as it maybe doubtful the breeder has wormed the pup with a proper worming programme and if it is the little 14mth boy I think it may be its probably questionable what sort of wormings he as ever had. Pups should be wormed at 2 weeks of age then every 2/3 weeks until they are 12 weeks, then monthly up to 6mths and then every 3/4 months like adults. It might be worth putting him on a puppy worming programme too. Hope this might help.
