Help needed with jack russel bitches

Hi, I have 2 female Jack Russell "Pipa" is 23 months old and "Abby" is 14 months old. Both used to get along great with just the occasional bossy attitude from Pipa until just recently when Abby reached sexual maturity (came on heat for the first time) and now i have Abby with badly injured front legs from Pipa mauling her! This happened 4 days ago, and every time i take Abby outside to go to the toilet (separated from Pipa) she is so terrified of every little noise which i dont blame her but Pipa can still see her from the gate and still acts all hypo trying to get at her from behind the gate even though Abby is well off heat now.

My questions and concern is will this now continue with them or will Pipa get over it and be best mates with her again and will Abby get over her fear or be terrified forever?

It so upsetting to see Pipa act like this and for what she has done

Can anyone please help me with some advice on what i can do?
