What do you do with small dogs when out and about

I want to take my yorkie when i take my little one to nursery but am a bit concerned about tying him up outside (I wouldn't be able to see him) in case someone goes off with him - what do other people do?

I take my pup inside with me - with agreement with pre school staff. Its part of my pups socialisation programme and the kids there love to see her anyway.

That's what I do just now - I carry him - but when he is a bit bigger it may be too much to pick him up?

i have 2 toy poodles and i would never want them to be tied up...if they cant be with me 100% of the time when i go out, then they stay at home
i might add, you would be risking your dog being stolen.

yep what Janice said.
Here in London it's the fastest rising crime. A friend of ours EBT was snatched from her car at a petrol station while she was paying.
She did get her back infested with fleas and payed £1,000 ransom.
