Re: our new addition!
First of all just look at it for what it is a set back, dogs with problems dont get fixed over night, and you do get relapses, had it with mine quite a few times, would have a good week or two then something would stress him out and we would have an episode, so some problems can take a long time to fix especially ones like fear agression.
Given her history and the arrival with an E collar the best route seemed to be the trading appproach. As good Vic says at the moment it might be best to stop chews and things for a few days or so to let things calm down. Anything that she can hold on too and guard and protect thats long lasting.
Have you done any obdience reward based training with her and does she comply and take the small training treats gently. If she will just take a small training treat without snatching or snapping. It might be an idea to step up or start training with her, if you do 2 or 3 short 10/15 minutes a day sessions, so she is actually working for treats that may help.
When you were doing the trading for higher value treats, did she do any posturing or growling at any time before she actually gave up what she had in exchange for a treat? Or was she totally calm and give it up freely. Only I was thinking if she did and even if it was very mild like any stiffening of the body or even the tiniest rumble before she gave it up seemingly ok you might have inadvertently rewarded the behaviour without realising, just a thought.
Timing is very important and it can be very easy if its wrongly timed to reward the wrong behaviour.
