We have a 5 1/2 year old Basset Hound Bitch. She has been house trained since about 12 weeks old but in the last 3 weeks she has started pooing in the house. She goes out regularly and when she fouls in the house she makes no attemp to go to the door as she ussually does. Any ideas on why this could be?

this could be an anxiety issue, has something outside frightened her??

Yes something as upset her by the sounds of it, she shpuld not be doing this try speak to the vets or a behaviourust may be able to help you, sounds like shes not happy with somthing or it could be a medical condition id get it checked out.

Nothing I know has frightened her. She behaves normally apart from this.
The only things we can think of that have changed lateley are:
She was in the Kennels for a week when we were away, that was about 4 weeks ago.
We changed her food to Winalot about 3 weeks ago.

just give a week and see how she goes, and maybe try when you have fed her leave her 10-15 mins and then go out when she dose poo really praise her for it get her back to her old self, good luck hun.
