Re: Van chasing & horse visiting

Thought I'd sorted it, until yesterday. We've been introducing him to the horses through a gate and making him sit nicely, etc but have kept him on lead near the fields, just in case.

Yesterday though he shot off when off lead (I thought nowhere near horses) and found some. He was wanting to play and luckily the horse was placid but I couldn't get him until someone came to help. He wouldnt come back and my trying to catch him made it worse. It was awful.

I've decided to stick to flexi lead in the fields around the village, couldn't cope with that again (and I'm sure the horses couldn't). Will still keep up with the "introducing" though.

When he's sitting watching horse, if it grazes, he actually does it too!! Honestly, I think you're right, he does think he's a horse or they are big dogs!!
