Is this good for a 9 week pup?

Lily now knows sit, down, come and clean. Is that good for a 9 week old? It has been a long time since I last had a pup to train but this seems quite good to me. She loves her grub so is quite easy to train.

We will try some thing else tomorrow.

Re: Is this good for a 9 week pup?

Yes, it is good. Goldens are born half trained anyway! Ou oldest could do everything by 8 weeks, and taking her to her puppy classes was a bit embarrassing as I fel tlike a know it all. (Ok, I AM a know it all! )

However, what I would say is don't be fooled into thinking she truly understands the 'come' command. Young puppiea ar ekeen to come when called as they havne't yet learnt that there are SO many other interesting things going on in the world, and they are totally fucoused on their owner at this age. However, keep it up, and you'll get there.

Re: Is this good for a 9 week pup?

Well she should clean the house, the mess she makes. Even her water bowl gets covered in garden dirt. Earlier she plopped something at my feet. it was a garden pot, gawd knows where the plant was, but there was soil everywhere.

She is having a kip at the moment, no doubt building up energy for later.
