Dog Training from Pups & Kennel Club Good Citizens

Hi all

Has anyone took their dogs to offical training sessions from being a puppy? Or completed any of the Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze, Silver or Gold awards?

We got our boy last May and started him at puppy socialisation classes as soon as he had had all his jabs and we carried it on to gain our Kennel Club puppy foundation & bronze awards. We have our Silver award test next week and hopefully we should pass with no problems. We both love going and it has really helped us to bond as well.

Our 13 week old pup started her training classes on Saturday and she too seemed to love it. She looks like she is going to be much easier and calmer to train than our boy so we will hopefully carry on with her too.

All ours except for Quinn have done up to silver. I think it's a good scheme because as well as training the dog, it also teaches owners the basics of looking after a dog.
