collar marks

how do you prevent them? even if i put their collars on loose for over a day they appear
also, recently i misplaced loads of my showing kit (it was getting old anyway-the leather lead i had for min was the same one i used 7 years ago !!)and was wondering if anyone could recomend a good, more modern(!!) type of lead and also some good brushes and that sort of stuff
thanks

Re: collar marks

We only put Jayjay's collar on for walks and training to avoid it ruining his coat.

Another escape artist, Milo once chewed through the gate while we were out and was roaming the streets when we came back. Milo and Trinny always have theirs on but Jayjay only has his on for walks etc, there's not much chance of escaping from our garden without chewing through the gate!

I don't know any other way other than not leaving it on for long!
