I have a Bassett hound i wish to enter into a crufts qualifing show can anyone suggest the best way to find a show locally or close by?

You can go on-line FOSSE DATA: Providing Computerised Show Services to the World of Dogs or Higham Press Ltd - Championship Dog Show Results and Information and the champ shows are mostly on there you have just missed the entries for Bath Champ Show but the next local one is Southern Counties held at Newbury showground entries close 22 april (on-line) that is on the fosse data web site

thanks for that advise thats brilliant. we took him to some open shows since he was a young pup and he has done well coming second in one. I've tried more to get him used to the atmosphere although he's still rather excitable for a Bassett. His Father was best of breed at Crufts in 2004 and his uncle was best of breed at crufts 2006 so i have high hopes for him.

The dog press such as Dog World or Our Dogs,also have details of shows,from companion to CH Shows.

This is great info. I did look on the kennel club site but found their list very busy and difficult to read. I will definately invest in these magazines
