hello all, i'm in need of a little help for my friend.

SHe has a Shetland sheepdog puppy (7 months) and whats to start showing her. But wants to do novelties first to get the puppy into the swing of things before setting off on the open/Ch shows.

I've noticed theres loads of novelty shows advertised on this site, but there in a bit of a muddle reguarding areas. She doesn't mind travelling as it helps the puppy get used to travelling.

She lives in Devizes, Wiltshire and is willing to travel a radius of 30 miles.

Any info and help much apprieated (spelling)

The other place to look for Companion Dog shows is Dog World or Our Dogs they have shows advertised every week.

does your friend take her pup to ringcraft training as this would also help, also at 7 months she is old enough to start showing her at open shows in the puppy classes were judges are a bit more forgiving to the pups behaviour

Your local ringcraft sould have all the local show programmes!

yes she goes to ring craft twice a week and also a Sheltie get together on a Tuesday evening with my bassets too

She's still slightly nervious of bigger dogs, hence me bring the bassets to play with her, but there are much much bigger dogs out there.
