It is all confusing at first

annother thing if you put your dog in a breed class & you win & if you have entered other puppy classes you can withdraw from the other classes to go for best pup in show,
cause if you go in the other classes & a younger dog beats you your not able to go for best pup,
so if your wanting to withdraw from a class you must inform the steward

but if its your 1st show i wouldn't bother too much about going for best pup the more classes the better to get used to showing & judges oppinions

Hi, we go to ringcraft every week so she is used to standing on and off table and having different people check over her, so hopefully she will be a good girl and not jump up to try and lick the judges face as she sometimes likes to do lol.

Re: Help!!!!

Hi,

Been showing for a while now myself in both open and champ shows. It is very confusing at the beginning but you will get there.

I'd say enter the puppy class in her breed. You normally cant enter the any variety classes if you havent entered the breed class or the class for your group (toy group in your case) which is for dogs that dont have seperate breed classes of their own (also known as AV Toy NSC not seperately classified)

the Any variety classes such as Any Variety puppy, novice and special beginners, if they are being held are usual good. However they are usually held at the end of the day so you shall have to wait around for them.

As posted earlier if your pup wins her puppy class in her breed and then wins best puppy in breed, i would suggest you pull out of the any variety classes so you dont scupper your chances of going in for best puppy in group or if you are lucky enough best puppy in show.

Most importantly have fun and dont worry about it!! It is your first show after all.

Good Luck

Re: Help!!!!

Hi kellyBaker

If you take the entry form to ringcraft with you and just ask one of the others to help you.

I will check to see who your judge is & what classes are available for you

Give me 10mins...

Re: Help!!!!

Hi Again

Your details

You want to enter Class 171 Pug Junior Class (no puppy class) but she could still win BP so don't think just because you haven't got 1st that you haven't won Best Puppy as she may be the only one under 12months.

You could also enter AVToy Class 181 which is Any Variety Puppy Class.

Your judge is Mr Jonny Anderson & you should be 5th in the ring for judging but always a good idea to be there a lot earlier as judging times can alter.

Judging starts at 9.30am

Hope that helps

Re: Help!!!!

You can enter that show on Fossedata - FOSSE DATA: Providing Computerised Show Services to the World of Dogs
Once you've registered the details of your dog it will only let you select the classes you are eligible for which makes it a bit easier.
