When is show entry fee cashed?

Hi all,

just wondering at what point your show entry money is charged to your account after you've sent off your entry form?
and is this different if you apply online?

TIA

Re: When is show entry fee cashed?

When you pay online using a card, the money obviouslt goes out straightaway, if you enter by post and pay by cheque, the cheques may be presented to the bank pretty soon after you post it, especiallyif its an early entry, or Secretary may wait and put all the cheques in the bank together after closing date of show, it will vary from secretary to secretary, lol!

Thanks Ceearot,

how about when you fill in your postal form giving your bank card details? are they treated the same as a cheque? or cashed straightaway as with online?

Lol! looking at your beautiful rottie photo, I've just realised where your username comes from - thought it had something to do with carrots! now I see!!!

I would think they would process the card details as soon as they recieve it. Then if any problems arise with the payment they can get in contact with you asap!

PMSL!!!!!!

Yeah, card details given are usually processed pretty much straight away.

I always do Champ shows online now, then at least I know the moneys gone straightaway and I dont get caught out at the bank, lol! Of course, Open shows are still majorly enter by post only, so still need a cheque, but they arent of huge amounts like a champ show so not so bad to keep an eye on.

Unless the Secretary knows you and collars you for a rosette donation, like I got caught for Durham County Open Show on Sunday - I ended up putting rosettes on 1st-5th for 5 classes, BOB, BOS & BP for rotts and the entry is only about 7!?! LOL!
