We are holding an online auction to help raise funds for the rescue from 9pm on the 22nd April until 9pm on the 8th May 2011.
There will be a large range of items on sale for people and pets and there are even a few lovely holidays up for grabs!

The large majority of money raised will go directly to helping our “wonky dogs” – animals that have come into us and are staying with us as they need special care or ongoing treatment.
We have requests for help with ill or damaged dogs every week and just last week four came in needing special help. Dolly the Bichon has come to us from our good friends at Swindon Pound who always go that extra mile to help the strays in their area. She needs a leg amputated after spending perhaps 2 years dragging this damaged limb behind her before being picked up by the dog warden service. Lucy the Cavalier has chronic dry eye and is now undergoing expensive treatment. Jasper is an 8 week old Yorkshire terrier with possible hydrocephalus and Carrot the golden retriever has been handed in at 10 weeks old because he is failing to thrive. We have two diabetic dogs with us and a variety of others all with special needs that need your help.
Every penny you spend at the auction will help dogs like Lucy, Jasper and Carrot live happy, healthy lives like all dogs, and especially puppies, should.

We hold our online auctions twice a year and they are a major part of our fundraising. Volunteers have been busy sending emails since February to various companies and organisations and we are delighted at the excellent response we have had.

Many of these donors have sent personal messages wishing us well in our work and whilst I appreciate they do hope to receive a boost in their business it is also touching that many are concerned and care about the plight of unwanted and abandoned animals.

This spring we have added an extra section for Member Donations. We are asking our supporters and friends to add details and if possible a photograph of an item they will donate for auction. If half our forum members donated just one item that would be over 500 extra items. All we ask is that the item be new or good as new condition, that you give an accurate description of the item, service or event and that at the end of the auction you post it out to the winning bidder. Items can be added any time during the next week. Please add p&p if required and we can refund that to you. If you have trouble adding a photo please send one to one of the admin team on our forum and we will put it on for you.

Please, please join in the fun and between us we can make this a super event that will allow us to help the many wonky dogs that are finding their way to our door.
